A few key facts

Hi, I'm Justus Bergermann

I'm glad you found your way to my website! Since my early youth, I've been interested in almost all fields related to technology. Programming, computer science, and technologies are therefore not only part of my studies and side job but also a part of my free time.

Even though I've already accumulated a range of skills, I'm always open to more knowledge and believe it's important to stay on top of technological developments. I'm good at diving into new fields with great interest and tackling new challenges. In addition to my previous work as a student assistant at a renowned research institute, I’m also pursuing a second degree in IT security alongside my regular Master's in Computer Science. This step allows me to expand and combine the broad knowledge base from my computer science master's with very specific knowledge in the area of IT security.

This may all sound like the typical computer nerd with pale skin, but my social engagement as a volunteer firefighter and in church youth work makes me more of a "Geek+" in reality. Additionally, my scholarship from a talent development organization shows that I have a life outside of ones and zeros.

TL;DR: I’m excited about new things and have already gained some experiences both professionally and socially.

Technical know-how in photography and basics with the common Adobe programs such as Photoshop or Lightroom.

Programming Languages

I have already worked a lot with C, C++, Pyhton and Java/Kotlin. However, the language in which the code is written is ultimately rather unimportant.

I know the basics of Android app development with Java/Kotlin.

IoT & Embedded Systems

In this area, I have mainly gained experience with microcontrollers, especially in the course of prototyping in a research context, but also through private tinkering.

Docker

Containerization offers advantages in many areas, especially in development. That's why I use Docker containers regularly and create my own images.

Research & Science

Through my work as a student trainee and of course through my studies, I have already gained experience in research and scientific work. This includes, for example, software such as Matlab or creating publications with Latex.
